Our Remote Examination service enables eligible students to complete selected Pearson Edexcel International GCSE and International A Level examinations from home through secure remote invigilation, providing a flexible and convenient alternative to travelling to a traditional examination centre.

Supported by experienced staff throughout the process, students are able to complete internationally recognised qualifications with confidence while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and examination security.

How Remote Invigilation Works
Our experienced team guides students through every stage of the examination process, ensuring they feel fully prepared before their assessment.

Prior to sitting live examinations, students complete familiarisation activities that introduce the examination platform and remote invigilation procedures. This allows learners to become comfortable with the technology and understand exactly what to expect on examination day.
During the examination, trained invigilators securely monitor the assessment in accordance with Pearson Edexcel's remote invigilation procedures, while remaining available to provide assistance if required through the approved communication channels.

Remote Invigilation Guides & Resources
The Pearson Edexcel Remote Invigilation Service Handbook can be found on the Pearson Edexcel website to help students better understand the process and the steps of remote invigilation.
After expressing interest in the service, students will be provided access to a few demo assessments to familiarise themselves with the process and decide whether they want to make formal exam entries for the remote invigilation service. Students who sign up for the formal examination process will have the opportunity to participate in a live system familiarisation exercise, to ensure they are comfortable with the experience before their high-stakes examinations.
Preparing for Your Examination
Before your examination, we recommend ensuring you have:

Students also participate in a familiarisation session before live examinations, helping them become confident with the technology and examination procedures before assessment day.
Examination Fees
Remote examination fees vary depending on the qualification, subject, and examination series. Students enrolled at Wrenmere International Online School benefit from examinations charged at cost price, while fee information for private candidates can be found below.

IGCSE French, Spanish, German: £656.85 per subject
IGCSE Science (Double): £588.05 per subject
A-Level
International A-Level Accounting (2 units total): £356.50 per unit
International A-Level Business, Economics, English Language, English Literature, French, Geography, German, History, Information Technology, Psychology, Spanish (4 units total): £309.00 per unit
International A-Level Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics (6 units total): £291.40 per unit
International A-Level Law (1 unit only): £612.50 per unit

Standard entry - Deadline 28th July 2026 (Access Arrangements also need to be entered by this date, otherwise we may not be able to ensure they are arranged)
Late entry - Deadline 8th September 2026 (incurs a late fee)
Late entry resit - Deadline 8th September 2026 (incurs a late fee)
Payment Deadline is the 26th August 2026. Unless you are submitting a late entry. If there is no payment after this date, your application will be withdrawn.
IGCSEs
