Modern Foreign Languages Curriculum
Inspiring Communication, Cultural Understanding and Global Confidence
At Wrenmere International Online School, we believe that learning another language opens the door to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities. Language enables students not only to communicate with others, but to develop a deeper appreciation for the diverse communities, histories, and traditions that shape our increasingly interconnected world.

Our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum provides a carefully structured journey from the earliest stages of language learning in Primary School through to advanced linguistic and cultural study at International AS and A Level.

Students are encouraged to develop confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing while gradually building the vocabulary, grammatical understanding, and cultural awareness needed to communicate with increasing independence. As they progress, learners may explore a wider range of languages and pursue specialist qualifications aligned with their individual interests, ambitions, and future aspirations.

From a child's first conversation in another language to the sophisticated study of language, culture, and communication in Sixth Form, every stage is designed to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for the world beyond their own experience.
The Languages Journey
Our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum develops progressively throughout each stage of education, introducing students to language learning from Year 1 and broadening their opportunities as their confidence and linguistic ability develop.
